MeitY Gazette Notification: November 4, 2025
MeitY has notified the migration from standards IS 13252: Part 1: 2010 and IS 616:2017 to the new standard IS/IEC 62368: Part 1: 2023.
This affects Audio/Video, IT, and Communication Tech equipment. The notification also adds ‘Extended Reality Products’ (AR/VR/MR) as a new category under this standard, with a transition deadline of May 1, 2026. All other products have until November 1, 2028, to migrate.
