Approvals for Radio Devices by WPC

Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing of Department of Telecommunication, Government of India, issues approvals for radio devices operating in unlicensed frequency bands. Equipment Type Approvals (ETA) are ETA (self-declaration) Certificate; and ETA (other than self-declaration). Certificate Equipment Type Approval (self-declaration) is applicable for wireless equipment which are operating in license exempt bands and exempted from import licensing requirements as per Export and Import (EXIM) Policy of DGFT.
Approval for Import License : Once ETA certificate has been granted for an equipment, it still has to obtain an Import License if the equipment is required to be imported in India. This Import License has to be obtained from WPC. We provide services for Import License also.
