The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department for Promotion of Industry and
Internal Trade) has notified a fresh amendment to the Copper Products (Quality
Control) Order, 2024. The change — S.O. 3503(E), dated 30th June 2026 — extends a
targeted exemption for manufacturers who import inner grooved copper tubes used in
air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
