QCO for Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Products Extended Till 26.09.2024
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry extended the implementation date of the Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Products (Quality Control) Order till 26 September 2024, providing additional time for manufacturers and importers to obtain the required BIS certification.
The extension was aimed at ensuring a smooth transition to mandatory compliance while allowing industry stakeholders sufficient time to complete product testing, factory inspections, and certification processes. Once implemented, only products conforming to the applicable Indian Standards and bearing the BIS Standard Mark would be permitted for manufacture, import, or sale in India.
