Grating Drum Access Safety
Electric graters use rotating drums or discs with sharp abrasive or cutting surfaces. BIS testing evaluates protection against finger contact with the grating surface through the feed inlet, as well as interlock systems on the grating drum assembly. Products where the grating surface is accessible during operation through an undersized safety guard will fail the probe access test. Importers should verify feed inlet dimensions and guard design before formal BIS submission.
